Devon has been a professional circus artist and educator for over fifteen years, specializing in aerials (rope, lyra, trapeze, silks, sling, and innovative apparatus), tumbling, hula hooping, acro, and contortion, as well as circus teacher training, pedagogy, and coach development. Outside of circus, she has a background in both competitive gymnastics and classical ballet, and holds her master’s degree in teaching as well as her NY State Teaching Certificate for grades 7-12. Before joining CircEsteem in the fall of 2023, she had most recently served as School Co-Director and Teen & Adult Program Director at a prominent mid-atlantic circus school. Prior to that, Devon worked as a history teacher and residential faculty member at an upstate NY boarding school where she founded and directed a circus PE pilot program. She has trained at elite circus facilities all across the US, up and down both east (FL, GA, NJ, NY, VT, ME) and west (CA, OR, WA) coasts, with several stops in between (TX, TN, IL, PA), and she’s thrilled to now call Chicago home!
