Our Mission & Values

CircEsteem’s mission is to unite youth across all backgrounds and identities by fostering self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice and performance of the circus arts.  CircEsteem promotes the development of self-esteem, personal success and empowerment by (i) promoting the practice of circus arts; (ii) uniting youth from diverse backgrounds; (iii) providing social and emotional skill building; (iv) providing youth opportunities to participate in leadership training which results in paid opportunities throughout their participation with CircEsteem.

Program Manager

Summary:
The Program Manager’s essential job function is to ensure program quality, manage personnel, promote CircEsteem programs and events, and perform various administrative tasks as needed. The Program Manager will act as the representative and point person between various programs for students, parents, vendors, and community partners.

Office Manager

Summary:
The Office Manager (OM) is responsible for managing the office functions of CircEsteem as well as working in collaboration with the Finance Manager to ensure the organization’s finances are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion. The OM must be able to work in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment with confidence and efficiency while also knowing how to slow down enough to pause, notice and reflect on the performance of our office systems. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and able to manage multiple workflows simultaneously with ease. The OM will report to the Director of Operations and will supervise three part-time receptionists. This position will have a regular work week of Monday through Friday, approximately 9am – 5pm. Occasional weekend and evening special events occur throughout the year, which are also mandatory for all staff to support and attend.

Part Time - Teaching Artist

Summary:
Part Time Teaching Artists teach circus arts to school age youth. Assignments range from 5 hrs/week upto 20-30 hrs/week depending on program needs. Programs are mostly after school hours (2-7pm) withsome opportunities during the school day during short assignments. Most assignments are team taught,and TA’s will be collaborating with teammates to create circus experiences and bring positive creativeenergy to all teaching assignments

Development Director

Summary:
We are looking to hire an experienced development professional to lead our growing organization’s fundraising and development efforts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a strategic, proactive, and highly collaborative development leader. They will leverage available networks to cultivate new and existing funding relationships. They will partner with the board of directors and CircEsteem’s leadership team to identify and cultivate a pipeline of donors. The Development Director will oversee all aspects of fundraising to grow and diversify CircEsteem’s contributed support revenue streams.

Homework & Circus Work

Our free after-school tutoring program is in need of volunteer tutors to help students from 2nd – 10th grade, as they work on their homework or other academic enrichment activities.  This program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Performances

Performances at CircEsteem happen twice a year (Winter and Spring) and are always in need of help with Costumes, Sets, Lights and Sound. Support our young performers and add some razzle dazzle.
