Azahdi ‘Ziya’ Williams-Babi is a Chicago native born and raised in the heart of the North Lawndale Community and a Lawrence University Alumna. She has been a practicing performing artist, visual artist and creative writer since the age of seven. Azahdi has served youth in and out of schools for sixteen years. Her enthusiasm for working with youth in social circus is rooted in her love and belief in the transformative power of visual and performing arts therapy.
