Patty is a passionate educator, arts administrator, and community activist. She is focused on crafting unique and inclusive environments that encourage empowering learning experiences for all people. She has over a decade of progressive executive leadership, programme and curriculum development, non-profit management, and event planning in the arts, local community, and education sectors. For the last four years, she has predominately focused on teaching at university level while tackling research focused on racial equality, representation, and equity within mainstream art institutions. Having spent the last seven years working and studying in the United Kingdom, Patty is determined to plant roots within Chicago’s youth-focused performance arts culture through CircEsteem, a nonprofit organization that unites youth across all backgrounds and identities by fostering self-esteem and mutual respect through the practice and performance of circus arts.
