CIRCESTEEM SEEKS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Non-profit's rapid growth demands expanded leadership team.

CHICAGO (August 8, 2008) - CircEsteem, a non-profit organization that encourages self-esteem and confidence through circus arts, has launched a search for its newly-created Executive Director position. Founded as an after school program in 2001, CircEsteem has quickly expanded to include a summer camp and successful performing troupe, the Chicago Youth Circus. In order to grow the programming it provides to youth throughout Chicagoland, CircEsteem is seeking an Executive Director who will oversee all day-to-day operations. Those responsibilities are currently handled by Paul "Pauly" Miller, CircEsteem's Founder and Chief Goof-Officer.

"To accomplish our goals, we want to make sure that the strengths and talents of our staff are utilized to their fullest potential. By returning Paul's focus to the youth and CircEsteem's programming, fundraising, and marketing, we can more effectively take advantage of his years of experience and incredible energy," said Merrill Smith, CircEsteem's Board Chair. "Our new Executive Director will help take CircEsteem to the next level and reach even more youth."

This year has been a banner year for CircEsteem, with sold-out performances of its Spring Circus, the establishment of new summer camps throughout the Chicago area, and a busy calendar of public performances stretching from Millennium Park to Stuttgart, Germany. This year the organization celebrated the graduation of three of its first students: Viviane Clement, Cornell Freeney, and Sam Sake, who will each attend college with scholarships in the fall. CircEsteem's success has been fueled by the passion and commitment of its leadership, teachers, parents, youth, and community. Recently, CircEsteem received new and additional support from the Northern Trust Foundation, Kraft Employee Fund, and Springboard Foundation and through its unique and enduring relationship with Cirque du Soleil.
